Description Ingredient Type: Natural thickening agent, binder (non-ionic). INCI Name: Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum Grade: Cosmetic Grade Charge: Non-Ionic Derived from: Ground endosperm of the Guar plant. Appearance: Off-white to beige/ tan/ pale yellow/ yellowish granular powder, with the consistency of fine powder. Smell: Mild Uses/ Applications: Guar Gum powder is used in formulation of lotions, shampoos, serums and various personal care formulations. Solubility: Water (Guar gum is soluble in both hot and cold water). Usage Rate: 0.2% to 0.4%. Guar Gum is typically used at concentrations of 0.2% to 2%, depending on the desired viscosity and application. Ideal pH Range: Stable in formulations with a pH between 5 and 7. Outside of this pH range, Guar Gum does not maintain its stability and thickening properties/. Shelf Life: 2 years. Storage: Store Guar Gum in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain efficacy of the ingredient. Stabilizer: Guar Gum helps stabilize emulsions, preventing separation of ingredients. Conditioning Agent: Guar Gum helps improve the feel and manageability of hair, reducing tangling and breakage. Film Forming: Guar Gum creates a protective barrier on skin and hair, shielding from environmental stressors. Formulation Guide (Guar Gum): Use at 0.2-2% Incorporation Phase: Add/ disperse Guar Gum during the water phase of your formulation. First create a slurry by  pre-mixing Guar Gum in either glycerin or a small amount of water – and then slowly add that slurry mixture to the water phase of your formulation, before the emulsification process. After adding Guar Gum to a formulation, heat the mixture and stir continuously until the gum is fully dissolved. NOT SUITABLE FOR: Guar Gum is not suitable for use in high heat or outside pH range of 5 to 7. Temperature: Guar Gum can be added to both hot and cold phases of a Formulation, but ensure the temperature does not exceed 80°C (176°F) to maintain its properties. Compatibility: Guar Gum is not compatible with formulations containing Calcium or Borax,
