$32.63 $44.05
Description Glycolic Acid Liquid is a high-performance Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) naturally derived from sugarcane, known for its exceptional exfoliating and skin-renewing properties. With its small molecular size, Glycolic Acid penetrates deeply to dissolve dead skin cells, unclog pores, and stimulate collagen production. These characteristics make it a key ingredient in chemical peels, toners, serums, and exfoliating cleansers. Ideal for formulating products that target dullness, uneven texture, fine lines, and acne-prone skin, this liquid AHA helps reveal a smoother, brighter, and more youthful complexion. Optimal pH range in formulations: 3.5 to 5.0. The final product can later separate if pH value of the final product is too low and not stabilized.   DILUTION GUIDE: Typical usage level in skincare peels is between 1-20% Glycolic Acid/ AHA. To make a 10% peel, use about 14.5% of Glycolic Acid 70% solution For making a 5% AHA peel, use about 7.2% of Glycolic Acid 70% solution For making a 20% AHA peel, use about 28.5% of Glycolic Acid 70% solution *NOTE: For DIY home use, it is not recommended to make Glycolic Acid peels above 20% concentration.   EXTRA FORMULATION TIPS Dilution: Always dilute glycolic acid to your desired concentration. For leave-on products, 1–10% is typical. For rinse-off peels, up to 20% may be used with proper pH adjustment. pH Adjustment: Glycolic acid is highly acidic (pH ~1.5). Use a neutralizing agent like Sodium Hydroxide to adjust your final product to a skin-safe pH of 3.5–4.5. Compatibility: Avoid combining with strong actives like retinoids or vitamin C unless professionally formulated. Glycolic Acid can increase skin sensitivity.   Safety Guidelines Patch Test: Always perform a patch test before full application, especially for higher concentrations. Sun Protection: Glycolic acid increases photosensitivity. Advise users to apply sunscreen daily when using products containing AHAs. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
