PENDING SALE The copy of Blake Hinson’s Santagiuliana that we made in 2023 is one of our most significant double basses. Blake approached us about building a copy of his amazing Santagiuliana double bass, one of the finest examples from this Italian legend. It worked out so well that he sold the original and kept playing the Upton Bass version. He then asked us to build a copy of his Gagliano bass from 1781. This bass is what he uses for everything now, and thus the Santagiuliana is available for sale. This is a rare chance to own a remarkable high-end Upton Basses without having to wait for it to be built. Ready for the symphony and for touring, with C-extension and removable neck. Played by Blake Hinson of the New York Philharmonic, and in perfect condition.
